ST. FRANCIS CoE SUPPORT FLOOD VICTIMS

St. Francis College of Education has donated an amount of GH¢10,000 and some items to the  flood victims affected by the Akosombo Dam spillage.

The amount and items which includes exercise books for school children were presented at Bator in the North Tongu District of the Volta Region last  Friday.
The gesture was made by the  principal of the college, Dr Adwoa Kwegyiriba who indicated that it was the College’s Corporate Social responsibility to support the flood victims especially in the area of education among others.  

” The core mandate of the College was to train teachers for the various communities, hence anything that affected the community had  direct implications on the training institutions,” she added. 

She extolled the usual Ghanaian hospitality adding that as one family there is the need to express  concern for each other in times such as a disaster of this nature.

Receiving the donations the Queenmother of Bator  Mamagah Asieku V expressed sincere gratitude to the college. 

The chairman of the Colleges of Education Teaching Staff Association of Ghana (CETAG) FRANCO Chapter, Mr. Wisdom Yegbe together with the chairman for the Colleges of Education Non- Teaching Staff Association of Ghana (CENTSAG) Mr. Joseph Plahar and the  SRC who accompanied the Principal noted that the College will continue to support the visions of the College in supporting the cause of humanity.
