Professor Mawuloe Koffi Kodah is an accomplished academic, administrator, and scholar with extensive experience in higher education, research, and institutional leadership. He currently serves as the Principal of St. Francis College of Education, Hohoe, having assumed office in August 2026. Before his appointment, he held several leadership positions at the University of Cape Coast, including Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Head of the Department of French.

Professor Kodah holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in French, specializing in discourse and literary analysis, from the University of Cape Coast. He also earned an M.Phil. in French from the same institution and a Postgraduate Diploma in Governance, Democratisation and Public Policy from the Institute of Social Studies in The Hague, Netherlands.

With over two decades of teaching and research experience, Professor Kodah rose through the academic ranks to become a full Professor at the University of Cape Coast in 2022. His areas of specialization include Francophone African literature, discourse analysis, literary criticism, translation studies, and governance.

A prolific scholar, Professor Kodah has authored and co-authored numerous books, book chapters, and peer-reviewed journal articles. His research explores themes such as language, literature, democracy, governance, postcolonial studies, and sustainable development in Africa. He has presented papers and delivered keynote addresses at several national and international conferences across Africa, Europe, and Asia.
Professor Kodah has supervised and examined numerous master’s and doctoral theses and has mentored many young academics and researchers. His commitment to academic excellence and institutional development has earned him recognition within the higher education community in Ghana and beyond.
Beyond academia, Professor Kodah is passionate about creative writing and music and is fluent in English and French, with working knowledge of Ewe.
